Saturday Katie and I went to Payson and enjoyed the Kids Fishing Derby at Green Valley Town Lakes. It was a wee bit COLDER than we expected! IT would have been beautiful expect for the ICE COLD wind that kept up all morning! But after we called in a favor from a friend and got some extra layers we were HAPPY FISHERS!!!! We have been camping and tried fishing once last summer but Katie was more interested in playing in the water! We bought her a kid sized pole (car's which is her current favorite everything) and we went fishing! Katie did a good job and ended up catching 2 trout, both beauties.
Fish #1 was 14 inches and 1lbs, Fish #2 was 17 inches and 2 lbs!!! IT was a FUN time even with the COLD wind. Can't wait to go again!
(I tried to take a picture of her holding both on the stringer but she tried and quickly gave up intrest because it was heavy and she wouldnt look up at me, so this is the one we have of the together).
We got our picture taken both by the Payson Round Up and the Game and Fish, I'll keep ya posted if our photos pop up in either places!
